About Lila's Patrol Pals

Lila’s Patrol Pals is a child-led nonprofit dedicated to bringing comfort to children during difficult moments by providing stuffed animals to first responders. One evening, while Lila’s dad was working patrol, someone donated a bag of stuffed animals for him to keep in his police vehicle. Those stuffed animals were given to children during difficult situations to help comfort them during scary moments. Lila loved that her dad had stuffed animals in his patrol car and wanted to help make sure other officers and first responders could do the same. Now, Lila collects, washes, sorts, and packs stuffed animals into organized boxes designed to conveniently fit inside emergency vehicles. These “Patrol Pal” boxes are distributed to departments for use during emergencies, accidents, traumatic situations, and other stressful events involving children. Through community donations, volunteers, schools, businesses, and supporters, Lila’s Patrol Pals continues to grow with one goal in mind: making sure children have something comforting to hold onto when they need it most.
